Sehsüchte is an international student film festival. It has been held annually since 1972 in the spring in the media city of Babelsberg at the Konrad Wolf Film University. Every year, over 100 short and feature-length films in the categories of fiction, documentary, genre and animated film, as well as music videos and children's films are shown. The programme always includes numerous films from European countries at home and abroad. The aim of the festival organisers is to offer young international filmmakers a forum for their films and stories, as well as to promote exchange among themselves and with professionals from the film and media industry and the audience.
